Chancey Williams

(Laramie, WY) Chancey Williams has announced that he and the band will hit the road this summer after all.   Like virtually every artist across the globe, Chancey Williams has spent the past few months at home.  Now, with most of America opening up, and people starved for entertainment, the rising country star has found a way to take his show back out on the road while adhering to social distancing guidelines and various restrictions in local markets.   “We want to play,” said Williams, “and we believe our friends and fans want to see us back out there.  But we also know it has to happen in a responsible way.”

The “way,” according to Williams’ management firm, is an extraordinary cooperation between the Artist, production companies, promoters and local authorities.   “We named this the Chancey Williams 250 Tour because most of the markets we are getting ready to play can only have a crowd of 250 persons as of right now, and some even less,” explained Dean Kinney of HomeSlice Artist Management.  “Chancey told us to make this work for everyone somehow.  So, we are going out there and we can only sell 250 tickets in most of these markets.  If the restrictions ease between now and when the show plays, maybe we will have more but, if not, then 250 it is.  We’re not out trying to bend any rules.  We’re working with venues and production folks that want to bend with us to make shows happen within the guidelines.”

The Chancey Williams 250 Tour will kick off Friday June 12 in Grand Junction, CO.  While stops are planned in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, North Dakota, and Utah, many of the dates will be back home in Wyoming.  “People are bummed out here because many of our big rodeos and celebrations can’t happen this summer,” said Williams, “so we plan to go to many of the small towns that gave us our start. It’s time for some fun.  We want to see some smiles out there and I hope everyone comes out to one of these shows.”
